Silver Expedition news Feb 2019

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 2 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

Silver information.

Silver participants are not required at the training weekend of March 9/10th. We will run a training weekend closer to their practice in June/July.
They may also find attending the Bronze training useful which will be on a Thursday evening for the next few weeks. Starts at 6.30pm and finished at 9pm.
If they wish to come along and walk on the 9/10th March they are welcome to but we will require a consent form which can be downloaded on this page

Bronze Expedition Training Schedule 2019

We are changing the dates of the Silver Expeditions. This is due to the added pressures of GCSE exams and mocks on the young people this year. We will be looking to run the practice expedition on 12/13/14th July. This will be just the Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday. The qualifying expedition will be held 27/28/29th September and could involve them having a leave day on Friday 27th September.

I have been liaising with Mr Denton and he suggests that parents ask for special leave for activities such as Duke of Edinburgh. Could parents contact Mr Denton about their child being allowed to have a special leave day for Friday 27th September for the Qualifying expedition.

Training for the Silver group will be in arranged for June/July with refreshers each Thursday in September.
