Returning to face-to-face meetings after Easter

Following the latest Government announcement the National Youth Agency
(NYA) have confirmed that YOuth Groups are expected to move to AMBER
outdoors from 29th March (information below).

Readiness level: AMBER

This means: Duke of Edinburgh meetings can take place outdoors only.
No residential activities.

Maximum group size:

Activities involving young people: There is no limit on group size but
remain as only one award level meeting independently of others.

Note: In line with the government moving to Step 2 (no earlier than
12th April 2021) we are anticipating a move to AMBER indoors from this
point. This allows us to start meeting indoor, outdoors and to plan
day trips and visits (overnight and residential experiences will
remain prohibited in Amber) within amber. It is expected that maximum
group sizes will be in place for indoor activities, this will be
confirmed the week before the move to allow indoor activities.

So what does this mean for us as a DofE group?

We will start meeting again after the Easter break. We are planning on
using the bowling green to meet.

Wednesday 7th April
7.15 – 8.15pm  Bronze Group 2021 starters

Thursday 8th April
7.15 – 8.00pm  Silver Group 2021 Starters

Thursday 8th April
8.15 – 9pm Gold Groups

Will carry on each week afterwards at same times until we are able to
move inside and use both indoor and outdoor settings.

Please make sure that you only come along if you have had no symptoms
of Covid in the past fortnight and be aware that we will be taking temperature and taking names for NHS test and trace queries.
You must wear a mask and remember to keep a safe distance from others.
