Gold training weekend news

The times they are a-changin’.

This post seems to be older than 3 years—a long time on the internet. It might be outdated.

The second DofE gold training session is coming up this weekend 20 -21 January 2017. The format will be the same as last time with Saturday being at Walton le Dale Young Peoples Centre and Sunday being out on a walk.
Don’t forget to bring yourself some lunch on Saturday as there is a kitchen with microwave, oven etc. Ill provide bread, coffee, tea and milk for people to make brews and toast.

You will be outside for elements of the day Saturday, as groups will be pitching and striking tents, as well as cooking on trangias.
Sunday’s walk is due to be in the Howgill Fells, just north east of Kendal. We will keep an eye on the weather and fell conditions and confirm this to everyone on Saturday. We will also confirm transport arrangements, including those going direct or using minibuses provided.
A number of people still need to pay for the training, which is £45.00, so please bring payment with you on Saturday.

If you have any questions prior to the weekend, please get in contact with me.
See you all Saturday Martyn
