Bronze Navigation Day – March 15th

We are holding a navigation day on Sunday March 15th. The aim of the day is to help the participants gain confidence in map reading, feel confident in walking in the countryside and to have fun.

We will be starting at 10.30am (please arrive between 10.10am and 10.20am) at St Elizabeth’s Church carpark, Hall Road,Scarisbrick, L40 9QE.

You will require the following:

Day sack, waterproof inner (bin bag), Walking boots, Waterproof trousers and jacket, packed lunch, 500ml bottle of water, personal first aid kit (inc Blister plasters), spare socks, hat, gloves, scarf, snacks, small amount of money.

You can bring your mobile phone, but there is no insurance in case of damage or loss. You will not be using your phone during the day, unless on a break or lunch.

We are aiming to finish at St Anne’s Church at 3pm, if are going to be earlier or later we will contact you.

Weather – At present the report is for light rain and a moderate breeze. If we deem it unsafe to walk, we will contact parents.
